A Message from our Director
Spring is upon us….finally
- but rest assured the Aberdeen Chamber has not been hibernating. Over the winter months we have been planning for the spring and summer happenings in and around Aberdeen.
We have had 3 Board members retire their positions, thank you for the dedication and support from Art Coates, Gary Moulsdale and Chris McDonnell. We are happy to welcome Caroline Abraham, Sue Manning and Jody Youll as our new Board members.
I’ve been busy working on our newest directory and it will be ready for distribution at our May 21st luncheon at Bulle Rock golf Course. The objective is to make it more than just a fancy phone book. We have again added interesting facts, quotes, articles and useful information into this year’s directory. We have also doubled the number of copies allowing us to get them into more waiting rooms and the hands of our local community. It will again be on line for anyone to view electronically.
Some great events panned this year - our Taste of Cheer on June 7th & Community Yard Sale August 24th. We are working more closely with the City and Ripken Stadium as event planning continues to develop promoting our City attracting new businesses and visitors.
Our biggest change will be our location. Effective June 1st the Chamber office will be relocating and sharing space with the Aberdeen Room, 18 N Howard Street. The Chamber will be located on the right front side, while the Aberdeen Room will continue to house the majority of the location. I am excited about the move and look forward to being more connected to downtown Aberdeen.
