Economic Development Awards
The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, the Aberdeen Economic Development Commission and the Mayor and City Council are pleased to announce the 2012 Economic Development Awards were presented at the October 16th luncheon.
Economic Development Award -
Presented to the organization that has most significantly increased its level of business activity in the community. The increase may be considered in terms of sales activity, expanded operations/employment, expanded tax base or increased spin-off to other local businesses.
2012 Award was given to:

Good Neighbor Award -
Presented to the organization that has done the most to make Aberdeen a better place to live and work. This may include support of educational or community initiatives, enhancement of public services, or non-mandated environmental initiatives, especially relating to the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem.
2012 Award was given to:
Harford Bank and Lions Club of Aberdeen
Revitalization Award -
Presented to the organization that has, by constructing new facilities or rehabilitating existing facilities, brought about the most significant improvement in property value, appearance, neighbor pride and public/private use, the end result of which is most likely to foster capital improvements in the same area.
